Many Gods, many religions.

I am doing this special blog today.
There are many religions of the world,
and many Gods that they believe in.

I will discuss this and talk about the one true God whose name is Jehovah
No one comes through him except through his son, Jesus Christ the Lord.

 "For though there be that are called gods,
whether in heaven or in earth,
(as there be gods many, and lords many,)
But to us there is but one god, whom shall call Jehovah.

1st Corinthians 8:5 KJV (1611)

This is all taken from my lifetime of studies;
my independent studies and college studies.
(Much of it is cut and pasted from my reports,
but thought I would share what I learned)
The studies by me - Timothy L. Kerofsky. MA

Ares - the God of War.
He was not as cunning as Athena.
He was not a popular God.

There is a priesthood devoted to her; the Vestal Virgins.

Vulcan - the God of Fire.
He is the manufacturer of art, arms, iron, and armor for gods and heroes.
His forge was believed to be situated underneath Mount Aetna in Sicily.
Vulcan is often depicted with a blacksmith's hammer.

Hinduism:

The book of Hindu is called the, “Bhavagad Gita” which means, “The Song of God”.

The word Yoga means Yoke which in turn means Discipline.

There are five ‘Yokes’. They are:

1)      Jnana Yoga – Knowledge
2)      Bhakti Yoga – Love
3)      Karma Yoga – Work
4)      Raja Yoga – Meditation
5)      Hatha Yoga – Spirit

The Hindu’s believe in three main Gods and many others deriving from these Gods.
The three Gods are:

1)      Brahma – Creator
2)      Vishnu – Preserver
3)      Shiva – Destroyer

They also believe in three paths of life. Which are:

1)      Path of Desire (Pleasure and Success)
2)      Path of Renunciation (Life’s Foreclosing)
3)      Reincarnation (To return again in another Spirit or as an Animal)

The wants of man:

1)      Pleasure
2)      Success
3)      Responsible discharge of duty
4)      Liberation

What men seek?

1)      Being
2)      Knowledge
3)      Joy

Buddhism:

Began in India around 560 BC in Kapilavastu
from the concepts of the religion Hinduism
and the philosophy of Raja Yoga. Buddha (the awakened one)
was the son of a High Hindu Priest.
He belonged to the Kshatriya Caste. Siddhartha Gautama,
the man known as Buddha, broke away
from all the riches of India that he acquired from his Hindu father...
He sat under a tree and Meditated for so long that he was at total peace
and harmony with himself.
When he awoke he said, “Give me raw rice to eat, water to drink,
and my bent arm as a pillow
and I shall live happily under the mist of the clouds forever."

The 4 Noble Truths-

1) Dukka (Suffering)
2) Tanha (Desire)

3)  Life’s dislocation is a selfish craving so by destroying evil desire we become free
     from sorrow’.
4) Truth consists of the Eightfold Path which leads to the end of suffering’

The Eightfold Path-

1) Right Knowledge
2) Right Aspiration
3) Right Speech
4) Right Behavior
5) Right Livelihood
6) Right Effort
7) Right Mindfulness
8) Right Absorption

Five Precepts-

1) Do not Kill
2) Do not Steal
3) Do not Lie
4) Do not Drink Intoxicants
5) Do not be Unchaste

Buddhist   Sayings:

“By ourselfs is Evil done, By ourselfs we Pain endure,
By ourselfs we cease from wrong,
By ourselfs we become pure. No one can save us but ourselfs,
No one can and no one may.
We ourselfs must tread the path- Buddha only shows the way.”

“Oh it is real, It is the only real thing, Pain!
So let us name the truth like men.
We are born to Joy that Joy may become Pain,
We are born to Hope that Hope may become Pain,
We are born to Love that Love may become Pain,
We are born to Pain that Pain may become more Pain,
and from this inexhaustible superflux we give others pain as our...
prime definition!”

“The seabourn traveler seizes a favorable wind,
He raises anchor and sets sails for distant shores.
Like a bird flying through innumerable clouds,
the wake of his ship leaves no memories behind.”

Shinto:

Shinto means "The Way of  Kami (God)".
It is an ancient Japanese religion that started about 500 BC.
The creation stories of Shinto tell of the history and lives of the "Kami" (deities).
Among them was a divine couple, Izanagi and Izanami-no-mikoto,
who gave birth to the Japanese islands.
Their children became the deities of the various Japanese clans.
Amaterasu Omikami (Sun Goddess) was one of their daughters.
She is the ancestress of the Imperial Family and is regarded as the chief deity.
Her shrine is at Ise. Her descendants unified the country.

Daoism:

Daoism (Taoism) is an ancient Chinese religion.
It is is based on the concept that for every one thing there is an opposite,
and they must come together in harmony.
For then there will be equilibrium and balance in the universe.

The Nature of the Principle:

            The Tao (Way) begets the One (Unity),
the one begets the two (Yin and Yang),
the two begets the three (Yin, Yang, and Ki)
and the three begets the ten thousand things (Universe).
All things are backed by the shade (Yin) and faced by the light (Yang)
and harmonized by the immortal breath (Ki).

The great virtue as manifested is but following Tao.
This essence being invariably true, there is faith in it.

The Yin/Yang View of the World:

            Summer changes into winter and winter into summer continuously.
The sun rises and sets, the moon waxes and wanes, the tide ebbs and recedes,
leaves change from green to brown, the sky from light to dark.
We are in no way separate from nature! We are not only part of it, but we are nature too -
Our life’s flow in harmony with the cosmic changes of the universe.
Therefore we are all part of one continuous cycle.

The Flower – our Karma:

I will use the flower to explain how it relates to our Karma and growth.
            The soil is to the flowers growth as to what our karma is to ours.
The soil provides both the nutrients the flower needs for growth,
but at the same time is a barrier against which the tender young plant must push until
it reaches the light of the sun.
            We want our life to be as happy as possible.
However, real happiness lies only in our ultimate enlightenment –
not in becoming what we think we should be,
not in becoming what others think we should be,
but rather in becoming our self.
When one finds true happiness one will have inner peace within –
realizing our Tao nature uncovering and freeing our inner spirit.
            That progressive freedom and clarity doesn’t happen easily.
Neither does the young sprout easily push through the soil, which surrounds and nurtures it.
Difficulties, problems, dilemmas, and set backs are to us what the soil is to the plant;
both barriers and nourishment.
They nurture our growth by teaching us, by making us expand our limits.
If we can learn to enjoy and appreciate all of Karma, front and back,
then we can grow toward our spiritual heavenly sun.
That sun, the light of Tao, is as necessary to our real aliveness as the earthly sun is to the flower.
            Life is like the flower, always striving to blossom every year.
Taoist Zen is the way of the flower. So one must be like a flower – to grow and blossom!

The Taoist Ideal of the Psychological Balance:

            To embrace both the Feminine and Masculine sides of our nature -
to be both receptive and active according to circumstance.
The most masculine male is not only strong and active, but also gentle and receptive.
The most feminine female is not only gentle and receptive, but also strong and active.
            -Strong and Active means being assertive, but not aggressive.
            -Gentle and Receptive means being accept, but not dependent.
We cause the Yin and Yang to help create a dynamic balance in our lifestyle.
As we develop the experiences and forces of life,
our reaction to them produces an ever-evolving,
ever new self. Then we are at one with our selves.

More on Yin and Yang:

If Yin is…Yang is…

Yin –                hard, female, passive, receptive, dark, cold, straight, sour
Yang –             soft, male, active, gentle, light, hot, circular, sweet

Yin -                destruction, smooth, long, friable, dry, blindness, feminine
Yang -              power, course, short, supple, wet, sight, masculine

Yin -                mean, hate, negative, yielding, follower, secular, action
Yang -              kind, love, positive, strong, leader, divine, inspiration

Yin -                love, soul, body, secular, divine, impulsive, buoyant, square
Yang-               hate, body, soul, divine, secular, rational, heavy, circle

Yin -                evil, black, moon, mountains, red crane, hard, tiger, action
Yang -              good, white, sun, oceans, white crane, soft, dragon, reaction

Confucianism:

Confucius lived from 551 to 479 BC.

In the Han Dynasty (206 BC to AD 220) Confucianism became China’s State Religion.

130 BC: Made basic discipline for training Gov’t. Officials
AD 59: Sacrifices were ordered for Confucius in urban schools
7 & 8 Centuries: Temples erected as shrines to him
12th Century: Analects remained classic
SUNG Dynasty: Analects remained only a school book,
but basics to all education
1934: Birthday proclaimed a national holiday

Comparison between the sayings of Confucius and Jesus:
Confucius; “What you do not wish done onto yourself do not to others.”
Jesus; “Do onto others as you would have them do onto you”
Should one Love ones enemy, those who do us harm?
Confucius; “By no means, answer hatred with justice and Love with benevolence.
Otherwise you will waste your benevolence.”
Jesus; “Love your enemies, Bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you,
Pray for them that dispitfully use you.”

More Confucius Sayings:

“If there is righteousness in heart, there will be beauty in character.
If there be beauty in character, there will be harmony in the home.
If there be harmony in the home, there will be order in the nation.
If there be order in the nation, there will be peace in the world!”

“If a man puts duty first and success after, will that not improve his character?
If he attacks his own failings instead of the faults of others,
will that not remedy his personal faults?
For his mornings anger to forget his own safety and involve that of his relatives,
is not this irrational?”

Random Confucius Proverbs:

Wisdom is better than weapons of war

Over every possessor of knowledge is one who is more knowing

When the blind lead the blind they both fall off the cliff

A ship can float on water, water can turn it over
Ten thousand rivers flow into the sea, yet the sea is never full
The farmer hopes for rain, the traveler hopes for good weather

Beast do not know there own strength,
men do not know there own faults.

A stupid man, will die a stupid death.

Is there not a person who has not made one error and half mistake?

Pantheist

The pantheist believe that there is a spirit in all things; animate and non-animate.
That there is life in everything; that nothing is dead.
That we exist in the presence of God through all things in the universe.
Everything has a divine purpose.

Catholicism:

The Catholic Church started out from Saint Peter,                 and after the Council of Nicea in 325AD Emperor Constantine
(who was a Pagan and became Christian)
formed the Catholic Church of Rome;
the Roman Catholic Church.
This sect became known as Catholicism
and many Christian Religions today all came from this sect.

Martin Luther (1483-1546)formed the Protestant Reformation
in the 16th century,
causing the church to split in different directions;
from Lutheran, Presbyterian, Methodist, Eastern Orthodox,
and many others.

Then the council of the Vatican met to reunite the church.

Holy Inquisition:

But many people do not know,
was the Holy Inquisition headed by the Catholic Church
of the 12th century
which lasted to the time of Spanish Inquisition.
It started with the slaughter of the Knights of Templar.

Knights of Templar:

In 1099 the Knights of Templar were formed
"to police the roads of the holy land
for the protection of pilgrims".
Sad History of the Knights of Templar, Christopher Check (2013)

But by the late 12th century they amassed
such power that the Pope wanted them stopped.

"Anyone who attempts to construe a personal view of god,
must be burned without pity."
Pope Innocent III

So in 1244 the Council of Harbonne was met;

and all the heretics were arrested and tortured,

even children were tortured and beheaded.

"The Inquisition was an ecclesiastical court and process of the
Roman Catholic Church setup for the purpose towards the discovery and punishment of heresy which wielded immense power and brutality in medieval and early modern times."

From Horrors of the Catholic Church and the Holy Inquisition

In 1252 Pope Innocent IV created and authorized the use of torture chambers. Many of these devices had described upon it:
"Glory be to God".

This system for close to over six centuries became the legal framework throughout most of Europe that orchestrated one of the most confound religious orders in the course of mankind.

Spanish Inquisition:

Then the Spanish Inquisition started in 1478
as a state institution

used to identify conversos—Jews and Moors (Muslims)

who pretended to convert to Christianity for purposes of political or social advantage

and secretly practiced their former religion.

The Spanish Inquisition was abolished in 1834
under Queen Isabella II

In 1542 Cardinal Giovanni Caraffa
under the direction of Pope Paul the 3rd,
ordered the Roman Inquisition and the arrest of all heretics

and all those suspected of heresy to be tried, tortured,
and executed if found guilty.

A number of wars resulting from religious conflicts broke out
as well as the Catholic governments tried to stop the spread of Protestantism in the country.
Such attempts led to the civil war in France from 1562 to 1598 and a rebellion in the Netherlands between 1565 and 1648.
Religion was a major issue in the fighting between Spain
and England from 1585 to 1604.

It was also a cause of the Thirty Years' War 1618 to 1648,
which centered in Germany,
that eventually involved all of the great nations of Europe halving its population.
The estimate of the death toll during the three Inquisitions ranged worldwide from 600,000 to millions of innocent people.

This covered a span of nearly six centuries.

Council of Utrecht:

In 1889 the Council of Utrecht was held,

this made the Catholic Church

a Universal Church,

and amended the Council of the Vatican of 1870.

The Pope:

Today the Roman Catholic Church is headed by Pope Francis,
who is truly an advocate for peace.

"We must restore hope to young people, help the old,
be open to the future, spread love.
Be poor among the poor.
We need to include the excluded and preach peace."
Pope Francis

He knows that the church had a dark history,
and he is rebuilding the church.

"Instead of being just a church that welcomes
and receives by keeping the doors open,
let us try also to be a church that finds new roads,
that is able to step outside itself
and go to those who do not attend Mass,
to those who have quit or are indifferent."
Pope Francis

And what I  like most about him is that he is truly against war:

"War begets war, violence begets violence"
Pope Francis

Christianity:

As you see many religions are man-made, many are steeped in false-hoods,
many are traditionally passed down, there is even 600 years of violence
and darkness in the church in which I was raised in - the Catholic Church.
This saddens me.

Many religions have good traits. Many have good quotes and philosophies.
The problem with that is that they are half truths.
Satan wants us to be seeped in the half truths,
he wants us to fail - so we will be condemned.

To me the true religion that is not man-made is Christianity.
Not any church, but the church of Christ.
Not Catholic, Muslim, Methodist, Presbyterian, Protestant, Lutheran,
and all the other churches, religions, and beliefs that are traditionally passed down.
To be Christ-like and follow the teachings of Jesus.
This will lead us to his father in heaven; Jehovah.
To be kind to one another, caring, giving, and loving.
To be forthright, peace-loving, and non-violent.
These are the true values of Christians.
It is not the church one belongs to; but the values that they process.

When Jesus formed his twelve disciples; they were the true Christians.
We need to be like them and pass down the teachings of Jesus.
Then we will have our glory in heaven one day.

Not only do I believe in and am seeking my life toward Jehovah, through his son Jesus,
but I am like the Gnostic's were. I am constantly seeking knowledge.

Though many religions believe in several gods; there is but one god whom in English is Jehovah.

"And (God) Jehovah said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said,

Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you."
Exodus 3:14 KJV (1611)

"But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things,
and we in him whose name is called Jehovah;
and one Lord Jesus Christ, the son of God,
by whom are all things, and we by him."
1st Corinthians 8:6 KJV (1611)

"For there is one God, and one mediator between Jehovah and men, the man Christ Jesus..."
1st Timothy 2:5 KJV (1611)

I follow Christ Jesus who will lead me to him.
Thank you for reading this long blog.

What happens on Judgement Day?

On this Wednesday bible study we talked about:
"What happens when we die?"

We, also, talked about, "The sins of Adam"
"The fall of the temple by the Romans in 70AD"
and "The resurrection of Lazarus" as well.

What happens when we die?
Back when I was a child I was told by my church at a children's bible study
that we either go straight to heaven or hell.
And we have to do good to avoid going straight to hell.
Later, after I got older, I was told by the Catholic Chaplain on the
Battleship New Jersey BB-62,
that our souls live in purgatory until we are judged.
The latter is closer to the truth, than the former.

God Jehovah will call upon us and judge us after our death.
But until that time we are nothing, but dust in the tombs.

"For the living know that they shall die:
but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward;
for the memory of them is forgotten."
Ecclesiastes 9:5 KJV (1611)

We will await our judgement in purgatory,
until almighty God calls upon us.

(Taken from the New American "Catholic" Bible,
since Maccabees is not in the original King James Bible;
It is one of the 33 books that was rejected by the first church council,
the "Council of Miserere.")

"In doing this he acted in a very excellent and noble way,
inasmuch as he had the resurrection of the dead in view;
for if he were not expecting the fallen to rise again,
it would have been useless and foolish to pray for them in death.
But if he did this with a view to the splendid reward
that awaits those who had gone to rest in godliness, it was a holy and pious thought.
Thus he made atonement for the dead that they might be freed from this sin.".
2 Maccabees 12:44-46 NAB (1981)

Yes we shall be judged according to our works.
Each and every one of us shall be judged.
But not immediately upon our death.
Only when the day of Judgement comes as foretold in the scriptures.

"And I saw a great white throne,
and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away;
and there was found no place for them.
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before Jehovah;
and the books were opened: and another book was opened,
which is the book of life:
and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books,
according to their works.
And the sea gave up the dead which were in it;
and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them:
and they were judged every man according to their works.
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."
Revelation 20:11-15 KJV (1611)

Not only well be be judged by the seeds we plant and by our good works,
but also by our tongue; by the words we speak.

"But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak,
they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment."
Matthew 12:36 KJV (1611)

I asked, "How is God Jehovah going to remember all the millions of people in the tombs?"
Part of the answer is this; all those before the great flood were already judged,
all of those from Sodom and Gomorrah were already judged,
and the Romans who burned the temple in 70AD were already judged.
The second part of the answer is Jehovah is all knowing.
You can hide nothing from him. He will never forget your works on earth.

The fall of the temple:
40 years after Jesus foretelling  the destruction of the Temple of Herold,
the temple was destroyed.
On 29 August 70 AD the Romans sieged Jerusalem and burnt the temple down.
This is the same day 657 years earlier that the Babylonians destroyed Solomon's Temple.

"And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple:
and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you,
There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down."
Matthew 24:1-2 KJV (1611)

The reason why we die is because of the sins of Adam and Eve.
If Adam did not sin, we would have no death or pain, nor sorrow.
We would have abundance, peace, and happiness upon the earth.
But, because of sin; we have death.

"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin;
and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned."
Romans 5:12 KJV (1611)

Not all those that die; will stay dead.
Some; the Lord Jehovah will still have a purpose for.
Like Lazarus, for example.

"These things said he: and after that he saith unto them,
Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep."
John 11:11 KJV (1611)

The Lord Jehovah will judge us according to our own actions,
not the actions of our fathers.
Yes we have to honor or fathers, but we have to grow on our own;
we have to find our own path chosen by God.
The Lord Jehovah wants us to follow the example set by his Son Jesus.
If we follow him, we shall have everlasting life;
and not be condemned until death.

"For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:
That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father.
He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.
Verily, verily, I say unto you,
He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life,
and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
Verily, verily, I say unto you,
The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God:
and they that hear shall live.
For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;
And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.
Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming,
in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life;
and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation."
John 5:22-29 KJV (1611)

When we follow Christ
and lead by his example;
To be compassionate, understanding, caring, and giving.
To be loving, forthright, peace-loving, and non-violent,
we shall be saved;
and have everlasting life.

Thank you for reading my Wednesday Blog.
As I finish the research of the "Healing Foods of the Bible"
I will post a special blog. Thanks.

Foods of the bible

My bible studies today focused on foods of the bible:

When we follow the foods of the bible.
We will have a healthier lifestyle,
we will have more energy,
we will have less health risks.

God Jehovah wants us to eat healthy,
he wants us to take care of the body temple in which we have.

"Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ?
 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you,
which ye have of God Jehovah, and ye are not your own?
For ye are bought with a price:
therefore glorify God Jehovah in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's."
1st Corinthians 6:15, 19-20

The foods of  this biblical diet are organic vegetables, fruits and legumes.
One should not eat unclean and unacceptable foods.
This is a true natural, organic approach to eating.
I suggest that one should only eat things created by God Jehovah
in the way they were intended.
That means no processed foods
or those produced with chemicals, fats, additives, or GMO.

God Jehovah does not want us to eat GMO or cross contaminated foods!

"Ye shall keep my statutes.
Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind;
thou shalt not sow thy field with two kinds of seed;
neither shall there come upon thee a garment of two kinds of stuff mingled together."
Leviticus 19:19 KJV (1611)

God Jehovah met for us to live abundantly with food,
grains, vines, figs, pomegranates, olives and honey.

"A land of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates;
a land of oil olive, and honey;

A land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness,
thou shalt not lack any thing in it; a land whose stones are iron,
and out of whose hills thou mayest dig brass."

Deuteronomy 8:9 KJV (1611)

But governments of the world and their corruption and greed,
is the root of why we have starving today.
And then they add dangerous chemicals in food,
to ween us out.

Random thought:
It is crazy.
The government knows GMO is bad, yet only 2 percent of the land is organically farmed.
What is wrong with this picture?
Butterflies, bees, and other insects that are good for the earth are at risk. Hmm.
Not good!

The lord gave us an abundance of food to eat.
The foods we can eat in accordance to the bible are:

"Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you;
even as the green herb have I given you all things."
Genesis 9:3 KJV (1611)

"These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters:
whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas,
and in the rivers, them shall ye eat."
Leviticus 11:9 KJV (1611)

"We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely;
the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlick"
Numbers 11:5 KJV (1611)

"And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed,
and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat."
Genesis 18:18 KJV (1611)

"That I may perform the oath which I have sworn unto your fathers,
to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as [it is] this day.
Then answered I, and said, So be it, O LORD."
Jeremiah 11:5 KJV (1611)

"Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges?
Who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof?
or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock?"
1st Corinthians 9:7 KJV (1611)

 In summery:
Foods that we can eat are -
Animals who chew its cud, certain fish, and certain birds,
and grains, fruits; figs, pomegranates,
legumes, seeds, and herbs,
green leaves and vines,
and milk and honey.

 Foods we cannot eat and are restricted to us in accordance to the bible are:

"And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers,
of all that move in the waters,
and of any living thing which is in the waters,
they shall be an abomination unto you:
They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh,
but ye shall have their carcases in abomination.
Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters,
that shall be an abomination unto you."
Leviticus 11:10-12 KJV (1611)

"But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat."
Genesis 9:4 KJV (1611)

"And these are they which ye shall have in abomination among the fowls;
they shall not be eaten,
they are an abomination: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,
And the vulture, and the kite after his kind;
Every raven after his kind;

And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind,
And the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl,
And the swan, and the pelican, and the gier eagle..."
Leviticus 11:13-18 KJV (1611)

"Ye shall not eat of any thing that dieth of itself:
thou shalt give it unto the stranger that is in thy gates, that he may eat it;
or thou mayest sell it unto an alien: for thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God.
Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk."
Deuteronomy 14:21 KJV (1611)

"That which dieth of itself, or is torn with beasts,
he shall not eat to defile himself therewith: I am the LORD."
Leviticus 22:8 KJV (1611)

"Never eat any fat from cattle, sheep or goats.
For it is an abomination. For I am the LORD."
Leviticus 7:23 KJV (1611)

"Moreover ye shall eat no manner of blood,
whether it be of fowl or of beast, in any of your dwellings."
Leviticus 7:26 KJV (1611)

"To make a difference between the unclean and the clean,
and between the beast that may be eaten and the beast that may not be eaten."
Levitcus 11:47 KJV (1611)

In summery:
The foods that are restricted and we cannot eat are:
Bottom feeders in the ocean and seas; catfish, oysters, clams, and even crustaceans,
fish without scales; eels, sea urchins, snakes, etc.
Blood of the flesh. Meat shall be well cooked, but not overcooked.
And it should be organically fed.
Animal carcases, and food that is in the mothers milk; young goats, veal.
There are many birds of the air we cannot eat,
but those we can are chicken, turkey, and duck.
Fats of meat. Meat should be lean and trim.
And unclean hoofs like pigs and other swines.

If we eat according to the way our lord Jehovah intended;
we will have healthier, more productive lives
with less illness and disease.
We will be more energetic, feel less pain,
and be the body temple that the lord intended.

In my next food of the bible study I will talk about "Healing Foods of the Bible".

What is God Jehovahs purpose for the Earth?

God Jehovah formed the Earth to be inhabited.
He made it for man to procreate.
He created all the nature and the vegetation for us.
He gave us food to eat and animals to rule over.
Animals to use wisely for skins, coverings, and food.

"For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens;
God himself that formed the earth and made it;
 he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited:
I am the LORD; and there is none else."
Isaiah 45:18 KJV (1611)

God Jehovah does not want us to take advantage of creation.
He does not want us to slaughter animals and not to use them wisely;
like the native Indians believed rightly. They used every part of the animal.
God Jehovah does not want us to use them as a sacrifice either.

"To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD:
I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts;
and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats."
Isaiah 1:11 KJV (1611)

God delights in us obeying him, in rather of us sacrificing for him.

"And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices,
as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice,
and to hearken than the fat of rams."
1st Samuel 15:22 KJV (1611)

 However we live in a violent world full of corruption.
If it was not for the first sin of Adam and Eve we would have a world of paradise.
The world is ruled by Satan and he wants us to fall.

"And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness."
1st John 5:19 KJV (1611)

If we call upon the lord he will teach us, he will deliver us from our enemies,
and the evils of the world.
I have faith in this.
Follow him and even in this evil world we will not fall.

Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.
Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies:
for false witnesses are risen up against me,
and such as breathe out cruelty.
I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD JEHOVAH
in the land of the living.
Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart:
wait, I say, on the LORD.
 Psalm 27: 11-14 KJV (1611)

We have to stay meek through him.
When we do this we will inherit the earth one day.

"For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea,
thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.
But the meek shall inherit the earth;
and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever."
Psalm 37:10-11 and 29 KJV (1611)

The Lord Jehovah will cast out Satan from the earth,
one day we will live in a world of peace.
Keep the faith upon it my Brothers and Sisters in Christ.

"Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out."
John 12:31 KJV (1611)

God and the Bible:

I asked these questions in bible study today:
1. If the bible was written by man, how do we know it is true?
2. Two why did Jesus die so early? There is still much he could have completed?
3. Why is there still so much violence and sin in the world?

The answer to the first question is that because if god said it it is true.
Though the bible was written in a course of over 1100 years,
it ties together. Each person that wrote it was inspired by God.

God appeared to many and inspired them to write.

"After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once;
of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep."
1st Corinthians 15:6 KJV (1611)

The first new testament books of the bible were written in 41CE, 58CE,
and 65CE time periods.
Each of these authors Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John were alive during the times of Jesus.
So it is given that they knew what to write about.

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God,
and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness."
2nd Timothy 3:16 KJV (1611)

The Hebrew Books: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy
were all written by Moses between 1513BC and 1473BC time periods.
This is long before Jesus, but he was inspired by God
and wrote the 10 commandments as well.

The other books of the Old Testament; Joshua, Judges, Ruth, Samuel, Kings, Chronicles,
Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther, Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Wisdom, Bel and the Dragon,
Maccabees, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon, Isaiah, Jeremiah, and all the others
were all written by men inspired by God Jehovah.
Men such as, Joshua, Samuel, Job, Solomon, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea,
Joel, Amos, Jonah, Micah, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi.
These books were all written between 1450BC and 443BC.

The majority of the new Testament was written by Saul of Tarsus; who becomes Paul.
These Letters of Paul to the Romans, Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Phillipians,
 Colossians, Thessalonians, Timothy, Titus, Philemon, Hebrews, and James
were all written between 56AD and 62AD.

The next three books of the bible:
Books of Peter, Books of John, and  Jude were all written by men with the same names,
between 62AD and 92AD.

The last book of the bible is Revelation and it was written by Apostle John in 96AD.

How do we know he and the others were inspired by God Jehovah?
Because the bible says so! And God does not lie!

"God is not a man, that he should lie;
neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it
or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?"
Numbers 23:19 KJV (1611)

The answer to the second question is yes. Yes Jesus could have accomplished more.
He was only 33 when he was Cruxified on the Cross.
But God had a purpose for him to die at the time.
To give us that Ransom Sacrifice and redeem us from sin and death.

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God Jehovah;
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus."
Romans 3:23-24 KJV (1611)

And the third question I asked is why is there so much violence and sin in the world?
The answer is, because of the evils of man!

"But ye are they that forsake the LORD JEHOVAH, that forget my holy mountain,
that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number.
Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter:
because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear;
but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not."
Isaiah 65:11-12 KJV (1611)

Men killing men for greed, corruption, and power.
We are the only cause for sin and death.

"For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption;
but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting."
Galatians 6:8 KJV (1611)

Without the first sin of Adam and Eve;
through the temptations derived from Satan,
we would be living in the Garden of Paradise free from sin.

"And God blessed them, and God said unto them,
Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it:
and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air,
and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth."
Genesis 1:28 KJV (1611)

 For as for me I am going to continue to lead and spread the good news of the Lord Jehovah,
and his son Jesus who saved us from sin and death.
The lord will rebuild the temple one day; which will be the temple in heaven.

"That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure:
even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple,
Thy foundation shall be laid."
Isaiah 44:28 KJV (1611)

And those who follow him and are Christ-like, shall live a life free of pain and sorrow.

"And God Jehovah shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;
and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying,
neither shall there be any more pain:
for the former things are passed away."
Revelation 21:4 KJV (1611)
