Easter a day rooted in Pagan Traditions

 OK, it is Good Friday,

in which the Church says it is the day Christ was Crucified.

But I believe it to actually to be on a Thursday,

since there were two Sabbath Days that year.

Then that leads to which the Church calls Easter,

which they say is the day that Christ arose from the dead.

I do believe that to be true, that Jesus rose from the dead,

it is, afterall, in scripture.

But I do not believe in the Pagan day of Eostre -

the day of Fertility, Planting a Harvest, and Copulation.

Easter, like most Holidays come from Pagan Roots.

For example - our Christmas traditions of decorating a tree,

of the Yule log in the fire, kissing under the mistletoe,

and even gift giving which Pagans gave to "mythical beings".

Christmas was really the Pagan day of Saturnalia.

A day of Harvest and Sacrifice.

Easter is no exception - it is rooted in Pagan traditions.

IE - the Easter Bunny, Decorating and Hiding an Egg,

and even the food come from Pagan roots.

The Pagan theme is of Light, Life, and Rebirth.

The Early Christian Churches took from that theme

and made it about Jesus' resurrection.

The light of Yahweh shining from heaven,

the life of Jesus' (Yeshua's) goodness on earth,

and the rebirth of Christ, yet to come.

I, like many of you, follow the Christian tradition's taken from the pagans,

I like the Pagan holiday of All Hallows Eve the most, to be honest.

I like the tradition's of Christmas,

and being around family during that time.

And like how they made Easter about Jesus' resurrection.

But I also know the truth of where the traditions come from.

The truth is the traditions are Pagan, not Christian.

Early Monday Morning Thoughts:

In the state of Illinois (where I grew up),

one has to obtain a FOID card before buying a firearm,

one also has to go through a firearms safety course,

and has to go through a firearm concealed carry class,

before obtaining a Concealed Carry License (CCL).

And all of this is registered with the Illinois State Police.

I feel the state of Illinois has it right.

I had to do all of this before obtaining my firearm,

even though I was in the military.

Yet in other states one can walk right into a gun shop

or gun show and walk out with like an AR15.

It is like that in New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma...

This is not right! I feel all states should be like Illinois.

This is what I feel we as a society across the board should do:

1. Everyone who owns a firearm should have a Firearms Registration ID.

2. Everyone before buying a firearm should go through a firearms training and safety course.

3. Everyone buying a firearm should be well vetted.

4. Everyone who wants a CCL should do the advanced firearms course.

5. We should also reenact the Assault Weapons Ban we had for 10 years.

This is some commonsense gun reform.

If we have to have a license to drive a car,

one should have one to own a gun.

Also, we should enact red laws,

and ban the manufacture of ghost guns!

In my state now, New Mexico, I applaud my governor

for trying to enact a State Assault Weapons Ban,

and enacting a waiting period to buy a firearm.

After all it does state in the 2nd amendment,

"A well-regulated militia for the necessity of a free state..."

Those who owned firearms back then were well-regulated,

and trained, as it should be now.

Those are my Monday Thoughts!

Food for thought -

remember violent crime went down 6.9 percent overall with the

assault weapons ban,

it does not seem like much, but in retrospect it was a lot.

Why Trump is bad for America!

Honestly, I would say that anyone who wants to vote for Trump...

...is NOT right in the head.

Not only did he try to destroy our democracy,

and put America in danger while he was president,

but he tried to steal an election.

It is the right for a free and fair election that is the heart of...

democracy in the Constitutional Republic of the United States of America,

And Trump is still trying to take that away from us.

And with this he Incited a Riot which led to the Attack on our Capital!

Congress should have held him accountable for enacting the...

14th Amendment art. 3 right away instead of letting the states decide.

I applaud the state of Illinois, of Colorado,

and others he took him off the ballet.

To me, Trump IS an Insurrectionist!

Trump has been twice impeached, indicted 4 times,

and has 91 criminal counts against him.

The Capital Attack is one of the four worst things I seen in my life:

1. I saw Children Being Trafficked while on a Boarding Ops Team,

2. I saw on TV the Twin Towers fall during 9/11,

3, I saw combat in Iraq,

4. I saw the Capital Riot on TV.

(But the worst thing I went through was the loss of Ken!)

Trump stole classified documents and hid them in a bathroom in Mar A Lago.

As a Master at Arms who delivered classified docs to the Captain,

I know the seriousness of such a crime.

And he should be held liable for this act alone.

Yet alone he has been found liable for sexual assault,

and ordered to pay 83.3 million for the crime.

To me, Trump should be put in the Gulag for the rest of his life.

Trump is an evil, narcistic, unhinged, liar, who is unfit for office.

And I pray he never becomes president again,

for if he does, he would make this country a monarchy

with him being a dictator at the helm.

He was truly the worst president ever!

Far worse than Nixon, Jackson, Johnson.

Let us hold Trump accountable,

instead of awarding him the office of president again.

I want to keep going forward, not backward.

Why Biden is the man to vote for.

Many have told me that Trump is better than Biden?

That to me is hilarious.

Biden bailed America out with the "American Rescue Plan".

Biden stabilized the economy, and we have a growth at 3.3 percent.

He also created more jobs in two years than Trump

who actually lost jobs for Americans.

And Biden stands for the Unions and working man.

Biden passed his "Tax Act" that helps poor families of children.

Which just got repassed in the Senate.

Biden passed "Veterans PACT Act" which helps us veterans.

Biden passed the CHIPS act.

Biden passed the "Inflation Reduction Act".

Biden capped and lowered the cost of prescription drugs for seniors.

Biden enacted the "College Loan Forgiveness."

Biden passed one of the biggest gun reform bills making our streets safer.

Biden passed the biggest "Climate Reform Bill" in history.

Biden passed the biggest "Infrastructure Bill" since Eisenhower.

And he passed more social programs since FDR.

And now there is the biggest "Immigration Bill" in the works,

since Reagan, and now it is being held up by Congress,

and the joke of a Speaker of the House, to make Trump look good.

Now on to Trump...

My Feelings in my Mind!

 I am debating in my mind,

if I should post a verse of the day or not?

I praise the LORD whom I call JEHOVAH!

And do my best to follow his son JESUS!

Don't get me wrong, I believe in them!

But honestly, I am angry.

I am angry about all the hate, bullying, wars here on earth,

about all the evil people like Trump,

whom I have doubt he will be held accountable for his actions!!!

The man caused an insurrection and stole classified documents,

amongst being convicted of sexual assault and misconduct.

As a Navy Master at Arms,

who delivered classified docs to the Captain,

if I left the ship with one document I would still be in the brig.

Think about it.

Trump is a loudmouth bully, who should be disqualified for president,

with the 14th amendment, yet his goons in congress does not care!

These brainwashed evangelists believe he is the second coming.

Really??? Trump is nothing like Jesus! Nothing!!!

Jesus is NOT hateful, not a bully, not an uncaring sociopath!

Jesus is honest, Trump is the most dishonest men I know!

And he tried to steal an election!

I am ANGRY because, I still do not understand why the LORD,

took my son who had good morals - he was kind, caring,

giving like Jesus, yet the LORD left such an evil man on earth

who could be president again. That to me is scary!!!

And WE have to beat Trump in the polls,

and keep fighting to hold him accountable for his evil actions!

Though I am angry. I will post my verse of the day.

WE have to have some small ounce of faith,

that we can beat Trump!!! WE HAVE to beat Trump!!!
