A wise quote in which the government did not heed too.
"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition
of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the
military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of
misplaced power exists and will persist."
Dwight D.Eisenhower
This is what Bush did not watch out for when he got us into two wars.
Was it worth it? No, it was not. The loss of lives and the amount of
debt we got into did not equal the cost of getting Saddam Hussein. On
the other hand Obama refocused the war on what it should have been
focused on and got Bin Laden.
Another quote from Dwight D. Eisenhower:
"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every
rocket fired, signifies in the final sense a theft from those who
hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed."
