In honor of President Jimmy Carter

Jimmy Carter (1924 - 2024)

Born James Earl Carter, Jr in Plains Georgia on October 1st, 1924.

Died at his home on December 29th, 2024, at age 100.

He was raised as a poor country boy on a peanut farm
and ended up becoming a POTUS.

He joined the US Naval Academy in 1942
and graduated with a Physics Degree in 1946.

He served as a US Naval Submarine Officer from 1946 - 1953.

When he was a LTJG he saved a Nuclear Power Plant in Canada
from a Meltdown, putting his life on the line.

He left the Navy as a LT, giving up his promotion to LCDR,
to go home and run the Peanut Farm after his dad passed.
He made his farm into a $1 million business.

In the 1960's he entered politics.
He became the Gov. of Georgia from 1971 - 1975.
And became the 39th President from 1977 - 1981.

As the Democratic President he focused on being honest,
he vowed always to tell the truth.
He focused on being a Humanitarian especially with the United Nations.
He created the Department of Energy and was for our environment,
creating programs to clean up America from pollutants.
He installed Solar Panels on the White House, in which Reagan took down.
He enacted the Panama Canal Treaty and the Greenland Treaty.
Most importantly he enacted the Camp David Accord,
which is still in effect today, brokering peace between Israel and Egypt.

His downfall as President, sadly, was the Iran Hostage Crises.
With the interference of the upcoming president, Ronald Reagan,
who secretly brokered a deal with Iran to hold the hostages on the tarmac,
until President Carter left office, giving him the credit for the release.

After he left his presidency in 1981, he gave up a life of politics,
to become a humanitarian for the world - helping to cure disease in Africa,
to create Habitat for Humanity building homes for the needy -
which he himself built over 4000 homes.
He and his wife Rosalynne built homes well unto their late 90's.

His wife Rosalynne was born in 1927 and died in 2023 at age 96.
He will be laid to rest next to his wife Roselynne.

His children are - Jack Carter 1947, James Earl Carter III 1950,
Jeff Carter 1952, Amy Carter 1967

There will never be another great humanitarian like Jimmy Carter.
A man who lived his life by faith in GOD, his Democratic values,
and his principles. A man who lived his life like Jesus lived his.

He received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002.

"The bond of our common humanity is stronger
than the divisiveness of our fears and prejudices."
~ Jimmy Carter (1924 - 2024)

One of the best Presidents in history - Joseph R. Biden.

His accomplishments are vast -

he came in during the COVID crises
and reenacted Obama's Pandemic Response Team
(which Trump took away) ...
He got us back into the Paris Accord,
and created many green jobs protecting our earth and climate.
He has many Bills he passed, and I wish he could have done more.
The American Rescue Plan, The Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill,
The Inflation Reduction Act, The Chips and Science Act,
The PACT Act helping us Veterans, and let's not forget the...
The Bipartisan Border Bill that was co-written by
Sen. James Lankford and tanked by Trump.
Biden created over 800,000 new manufacturing jobs,
in fact, he created more jobs (besides those returning to work)
than any president in history.
We are now producing more of our own oil than ever before,
with more drilling than ever and even more fracking.
And we have the best economy in the world now with a 4.1 GDP.
Now, yes, the cost of groceries is high and the cost of gas as well.
Much of this is due to Corporate Price Gouging,
as Corporations raised their prices to make up for cost after Covid,
but now with record high profits to stockholders,
many of these corporations are not lowing prices
due to corporate greed.
And there is also Shrinkflation, which Biden also addressed
with the Shrinkflation Reduction Act.
Do not think that Trump will fix it with his Tariffs,
Tariffs on imports are designed to raise the price of imported goods
and services to discourage consumption of such goods or service.
The cost of a Tarriff is passed down to the consumer,
if a TV at Walmart cost $500, a 20% tariff will raise the cost to $600.
A tariff is not the answer to fixing the world inflation,
Free and Fair Trade is the answer.
Now, Trump inherited all these bills and programs,
and a great economy, I hope he does not miss it up.
Good Job to Biden and Harris!!!
Applaud to Harris and Walz for running a clean campaign
with many plans IE housing and women's reproductive rights,
unlike Trump with his campaign of lies, conspiracies,
and concepts of a plan.
But, in spite of that he did win with a free and fair election,
so my hat is off to him. Congrats to President Elect Trump.
And that is my response of this election. Thanks.

Let us NOT forget what happened this day!

Today the illegal incoming president,
with his rhetoric,
incited a horrific attack on our capital.
The capital he will now be president again,
instead of in prison where he belongs for life!
A moment of silence for those police officers
who passed during the attack.

My 2-year pledge!!!

 My friends,

one cannot be a true Christian,
one cannot have taken the Constitutional oath,
one cannot be a true veteran, a patriot,
one cannot be a true military officer,
one cannot be a true American
and follow and support Trump!!!
Can one be a Christian and follow hate, racism, bullying, lies, division?
Can one have taken the Constitutional oath
and follow one who betrayed it?
Can one be a military veteran, officer, patriot, active or retired,
and support a Commander and Chief
that is a clear and present danger to our nation?
One cannot truly support America and support a convicted felon!
Therefore, as a military veteran,
one who took the Constitutional oath twice,
one who stands up for America and its values,
one who stands for our Democracy,
and as a Christian,
I will stand up against tyranny, racism, bullying, and hate.
I will stand up against Trump and project 2025.
I will stay in contact with my congressman, and state reps,
make my voice heard, and hope they do the right thing,
I will peacefully protest when I can,
and continue to spread the truth over the lies.
This is my promise over the next 2 years,
until the Democrats take back the house.
